A Miscellany

These are highlights from micelles mirror.com, one of my favorite political blogs. Please go there to see all the things she says, so we don't have to say them!

All that data Uncle Sam is gathering on you needs a home, so here is the new 1.2 BILLION dollar NSA storage facility being built in Utah. 15 times the size of an NFL stadium. Feel safer now? I hear parchment shredding....there isn't much left of the constitution.

Pretty damn stupid, I would say.

Hard to really live on just part time work.... Thanks Obamacare. But that explains the next pic, doesn't it?

And Michelle tells us Obama wants to make all Americans free from government dependency! I think she meant to say he wants all Americans government dependent, eh? That is only one part too, actually, one third of Americans are on some form of Big Bro's help wagon. While many of those are legitimate cases, I think most are not. One third isn't a safety net, it is a trap.

Just Three of the Many

These three people were all brutally attacked and killed by young black men.  They are just three of the many who remain ignored by the media and ther politicians.

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE HERE?

Thank You

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them

IRS Scandal, Steve Miller Takes it in the Shorts

More of our elected representatives should be outraged over this scandal.... PA should be proud of Rep Kelly.  Apparently, a lot of listeners here rather liked his question and his comments.  We should all be pretty damn scared.  The Obama administration is using the IRS (and other entities) as an extension of their political arm to squash opposition and impede the freedom of it's opponents.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid.  Whichever side you are on, this is very very dangerous.  If you thought Nixon was rotten, Obama stinks to high heaven.

I'm shocked! Shocked!

The Obama administration has become a joke.  A sad one, but a joke none the less.  All that Obama seems capable of doing is shuffling his feet, ducking and throwing subordinates under the bus.  He has been doing that for four and a half years, and it is finally coming back to bite him in the shorts.  I can only hope it is a painful experience, and one with lasting and far reaching affects.

Says It All

David Horowitz writes:

The Boston killers were treated better in America than all but an elite among Americans born here who love their country. They were given scholarships, they were admitted to the most exclusive prep schools, they lived in a Cambridge environment where critics of Islamic terror were regarded as Islamophobes and they as a minority deserving special consideration and concern. And yet they hated us. They hated America and ordinary Americans like the victims of their mayhem, and enlisted in the army of our mortal enemies. They hated us because they were fanatical believers in the idea that Mohammed had desired them to kill infidels and purify the earth for Allah. This is the face of our enemy and the sooner the delusional liberals among us wake up to this fact, the safer all of us will be.
Quite so.

Worried? I Am.

If this little twerp makes my son have to quit school and go somewhere dangerous, I am going to be exceedingly pissed.

Of course, the blustering fool we have in the White House and his high school gang of advisors aren't helping any. Instead of quietly sending what was needed to head off trouble to the appropriate area and publicly giving the twerp a graceful (or at least reasonable) way out of this mess, he is waving his arms around, threatening, and backing the twerp (and us) into a corner it is going to be damn hard to extricate himself from without war.

Oh goody, another f---ing Asian war. Just what we need.

Sorry if I seem a bit unrestrained today, but I am. Deal with it.

This dates back quite far... into medieval days.  I have always loved the Chant, this is truly a lovely piece, lovingly sung.

The other pieces are also medieval, I hope you enjoy them.

You Might Live in a Country Founded by Geniuses but Run by Idiots

By Junius P. Long  Straight from 1389 blog Counterjihad!

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for being in the country illegally …you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If the only school curriculum allowed to explain how we got here is evolution, but the government stops a $15 million construction project to keep a rare spider from evolving to extinction … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If you have to show identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor or check out a library book, but not to vote who runs the government … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If the government wants to ban stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines with more than ten rounds, but gives 20 F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If, in the largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not a 24-ounce soda because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If an 80-year-old woman can be stripped searched by the TSA but a woman in a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If a seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher “cute,” but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If children are forcibly removed from parents who discipline them with spankings while children of addicts are left in filth and drug infested “homes”… you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, while not working is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing and free cell phones … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to incentivize NOT working with 99 weeks of unemployment checks and no requirement to prove they applied but can’t find work … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.
If being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government … you might live in a country founded by geniuses but run by idiots.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Who Deserves a Medal?

So last week we heard about an Air Force Chaplain who got a Bronze Star for writing a power point presentation regarding how to avoid being irritating to our Afghani pals who like to kill us while we are working together.

The week before we heard about the new medal for drone pilots, proposed to rank above the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. This will be awarded to people never in harm's way.

On the 16th, I read about the proposal for Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, the two Navy Seals killed saving thirty people in Benghazi six months ago, to be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. This is one of the highest Congressional awards granted.

What do you want to bet that the medal proposal quietly dies? What have we heard from the administration on Benghazi, really? Besides lies? Where are the survivors? What have they been doing? Why haven't we seen them, heard from them? I asked that question months ago, it remains unanswered. So do pretty nearly all the questions about Benghazi. Now, we learn that one of the main perpetrators of the lies told by the administration, Susan Rice, is likely to be rewarded with a position as national security advisor (having been denied Sec of State, thank goodness).

What exactly are they hiding? Will we ever find out?

My Pockets are Getting Empty

Graphic From the Moonbattery

anything-government-gives-youI am tired of the government reaching into my pocket and taking away the very hard won proceeds of my labors and giving it to people who don't work, have babies for a living, commit crimes for a living, entered this country illegally, etc. I do not mind extending a helping hand to those who are unable to help themselves, whom misfortune has visited, but I really object to giving money to those who are just too damn lazy to do better, or who feel they are better than others who obey the laws, wait for the system to work, and work within the system. I REALLY don't like it when the administration then lies to me about it.

It seems that there is something that happens to people in the Washington metro area, especially once they become enmeshed in the political system. They forget everything they said or thought before, and become politibots, interested only in remaining in power in the Capital. They will say or do anything it takes to stay there, even knowing that what they do is bad for America, bad for most people. They pander to small groups to get the votes to add up, distracting the uninformed from the important matters, and concentrating the media attention on emotional matters of but little import. These days, it seems the majority of Americans are willfully uninformed, willing to accept what they see on a 12 second soundbite on ABC as the gospel truth, even when last year the same show had a totally different story when it suited the right candidate. People are not willing to pay attention, become educated in issues, read significant amounts of raw data, spend enough time informing themselves on candidates and their stands.

Seem harsh? Feel insulted? The examples are legion. How many people remember how vociferously Sen Obama spoke against executive privilege, or gay marriage, or individual health care mandates, or his opinion on medical marijuana, lobbyists in the White House, public financing for campaigns, oh yes, and raising the debt limit. How about extending the Bush tax cuts? He claimed Bush violated the constitution continually with Homeland Security issues, then carried out warrantless wiretaps, indefinite detentions, kept Guantanamo Bay open, and greatly increased drone attacks, including on American citizens, claiming the power of life and death without a court order even on American soil. And that is just Obama, the rest of Washington is just the same.

I am disgusted. Utterly disgusted. Not just in politicians, either, though they are front and center, but in the people who refuse to spend the time to educate themselves so that they can make good decisions, and the people who simple panhandle for a living.

So, what will happen when the milchcow runs dry? Sooner or later, it will happen. At the rate this administration is spending, it won't be long.

Ú-chebin Estel anim

The quote refers to Tolkien, and is what Aragorn replied when Elrond said "I have given Hope to mankind".  Aragorn said "I have kept no hope for myself."

I am rapidly losing hope for my country.  I see the population shifting from one of responsibility, hard work, and determination, to one of shiftlessness, whining, and entitlement.  I see the lack of concern for truth, for leadership, even in our President, unless of course, it is the other political party.  We accept things our parents would never have allowed, did not allow, we encourage the demeaning of morality, the mocking of religion and ethics, and the lowering of expectations in literacy, personal behavior and accountability.

We have changed from a country that welcomes those who wish to escape hardships and poverty and become Americans in every way, and become a nation who is changing to become those very countries from which people sought to escape, absorbing the values that brought about the very soul crushing poverty and political tyranny from which they ran.

We no longer mostly work to achieve our goals, we vote to take what others have achieved away from them and distribute it to others, often ourselves, instead.

Eleven States With More People on Welfare than Employed

Straight from Michael Savage (link here) If you look at the states, the ones with a current Republican governor are split between having a Republican voting record, largely, (SC, AL, MS) and those mostly voting Democratic (ME, OH, NM).  The states with Democrat governors are pretty strongly Blue voters.  Hmmm.  Looks like there might be a correlation between political party affiliation and likelihood of entitlement overload.  Of course there are other factors to look at, but.....

If Obama Knew Sequestration Was Bad (and he did) Why Did He Sign It?

USNI News report

Navy: Lincoln Refueling Delayed, Will Hurt Carrier Readiness

By:
The aircraft carriers USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), USS Enterprise (CVN 65), USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), and USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) are in port at Naval Station Norfolk, Va. US Navy Photo

The U.S. Navy will delay the refueling of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) for an unknown period because of the uncertain fiscal environment due to the ongoing legislative struggle, the service told Congress in a Friday message obtained by USNI News.
Lincoln was scheduled to be moved to Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) Newport News Shipyard later this month to begin the 4-year refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) of the ship.
“This delay is due to uncertainty in the Fiscal Year 2013 appropriations bill, both in the timing and funding level available for the first full year of the contract,” the message said.
“CVN-72 will remain at Norfolk Naval Base where the ships force personnel will continue to conduct routine maintenance until sufficient funding is received for the initial execution of the RCOH.”
Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) chairman of the House Armed Services Seapower subcommittee released a statement denouncing the need for decision.
Forbes called the delay, “another example of how these reckless and irresponsible defense cuts in Washington will have a long-term impact on the Navy’s ability to perform its missions. Not only will the Lincoln be delayed in returning to the Fleet, but this decision will also affect the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) defueling, the USS George Washington (CVN-73) RCOH, and future carrier readiness.”

Looking at the picture, I am struck by the resemblance of Norfolk Naval Base to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in 1941. There is just so much wrong with what is going on here, sequestration and grouping of ships is just a beginning.

Down The Road a Bit

Ah, the wonders of a government run healthcare system, like Canada's.  I have a friend at work who thinks Canada's health care is fabulous... free and abundant.  Except she hasn't run into this sort of thing.

"An 87-year-old Toronto woman died in December after waiting three hours with abdominal pain for an ambulance that was delayed "due to limited resources," a CBC investigation reveals."

Yep, seven ambulances were dispatched to her, each being diverted on the way, because her age and complaint made her a low priority.  By the time someone actually got to her, she had no vital signs, in other words, she was dead.  Too bad, those who were younger were more important anyway.  And this, Gentle Reader, is what we are heading towards at a gallop with Obamacare.  I hope all you liberal fools who voted for it enjoy the devastation it wreaks before it sucks the life out of you.   More expensive, less versatile, dependence causing.... great stuff for liberals.

So God Made a Democrat

Originally posted on FrontPageMagazine

God looked down on Washington D.C. and said “I need someone who will steal morning, noon and night. Who will steal from the rich to give to the poor and steal from the poor to give to the rich and fool them all and keep all the loot.”
So God made a Democrat.
God said, “I need college man to come to a farm and tell the farmer that he can’t feed his hogs with lettuce from his own farm or use the manure from his pigs to grow his lettuce. I need an inspector who will tell him how much he can sell his milk for and warn him that his son riding on the tractor constitutes child labor. I need someone to pay a farmer not to farm so that poor people can’t afford bread.”
So God made a Democrat.
“I want a union organizer who hires non-union picketers to keep workers from working, a politician who fights for the people by taking money from billionaires and a clergyman who worships whoever runs on the party line. I want a banker who fights for the poor and gives to the party and a party that pays the poor man eight times to vote for the banker’s man.”
So God made a Democrat.
“I need someone to retire at 55 with generous benefits from a government job. I need lawmakers who will pass laws without reading them. I need teachers who refuse to teach kids unless they’re paid twice as much as any worker in their city. I need people to sit on commissions and make rules about lines of work that they’ve never been in.”
So God made a Democrat
“I need a Catholic who’s for abortion. A Jew who’s for Palestine. A Mormon who’s against the Church. A Baptist who’s for evolution. A Methodist who doesn’t believe in god. And a Muslim who believes in destroying America.”
So God made a Democrat.
He said, “I need someone who starts all the wars and protests against all the wars. Who is first in line to sign up to fight against his country but comes out as a pacifist when it’s time to defend it. I want war heroes who throw their medals over fences and then gather them up again when it’s time to run for office. I want men who are for everything before they’re against it”
So God made a Democrat.
“I need a working class man who who has never worked a day in his life, but always talks about caring for those who do. I need a man who talks all the time about helping women, blacks, lesbians, Eskimos and Martians get ahead and then drops them like a dirty rag when he has what he wants. A man who gets up at 11:30 in the afternoon to help the less fortunate by passing laws that will make them even less fortunate. A man who takes nine tenths of what’s meant for the poor and lets them have the leftovers.”
So God made a Democrat.
“I need a man who believes in himself too much to take responsibility for anything he did. I need a man who is tolerantly intolerant, who is outraged all day by everything in the world except his own outrageous behavior. I need a man who is for freedom of speech except when he’s offended, for freedom of religion except when he disagrees with it and for the right to bear arms but only for those weapons that existed in 1791.”
So God made a Democrat.
God said, “I need a party of jackasses that will always break through the fence and spoil everything that the farmer grows. I need bad men to test good men and liars, cheats and thieves with clipboards to teach neighbors to stick together against them. I need a man with no more conscience than a rattlesnake leading a band of fools with less sense than sheep. And I need him to keep the farmers and ranchers, the workers and doers on their toes so they always remember that evil never rests and keeping it down can sometimes be the hardest work of all.”
So God made a Democrat.

So true it makes me weep.   Unfortunately, the Repuplicans are not doing so well at convincing me they are otherwise.

Islamaphobia? No, Just Disgust.

Saudi Arabia: Islamic cleric rapes, tortures, kills daughter, pays fine. Examiner story here

http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/default/files/styles/image_content_width/hash/b3/1e/b31ec68d4e44a3f216f08fb01d269dee.png

This beautiful girl was brutally tortured and killed by the one man she should have been able to trust completely... her father.  Because sharia law doesn't allow the execution of a father for the killing of his child (or wife, the real war on women) even though he confessed to the heinous crime, he was required to pay a small fine, but not to serve time in jail.  He told police he used a cane and cables to crush her skull, break her ribs and arm, give her burns and contusions, and rip her fingernail off.  Her rectum had also been torn open, and burned.  For this, he paid a pittance.  She paid with her life.

Cogent to this is the Muslim cleric Sheik Abdul Daoud issuing a fatwa calling for even baby girls to wear burkas.  Any religion that blames the rape of a baby on the baby is truly evil.  God will surely hold these evil men accountable when they stand before His throne, and they should tremble at the thought.  To harm a child is horrible, to blame the child, worse yet.  To blame future rapes on children not yet even born, relieving these evil men of all responsibility in their deeds, is beyond belief.

Disgusting. But Then, It is Obama...

Obama Eliminates Breakfast for US Troops in Afghanistan

Full story from FrontPageMag.com here
"If only American soldiers in Afghanistan were unemployed Democratic voters in Chicago, then they might be getting three square meals a day from the government.
But the military is the one place that Obama feels comfortable slashing expenses. While spending at an uncontrollable rate unseen since the last days of the Roman Empire in every other area, Obama has been cutting “waste” in the military like 20,000 Marines, Tricare healthcare for veterans and breakfast for soldiers serving in areas where he would only venture accompanied by heavy firepower.
Warren Buffett and other crony capitalists can pig out on Obama’s trillion dollar deficits. As for the troops. Let them ear MRE’s."

This man has the arrogance of a Caesar.   One can only hope he goes the same way as them, into ridicule or obscurity, like Nero or Claudius.  Or maybe he is more like George III, loony as can be, and that is how history will remember him.  But not, of course, as long as the media has a mission to make him out to be the next Jesus, the next messiah of the world.  The only thing he is interested in saving is his own butt and his left wing radical agenda.  Hypocritical, arrogant, lying, thieving, dictitorial, do I need to add any more?  Or can I just say that I really really can't wait until 2014, and then 2016.  I sure hope we last that long.  Right now, I don't have a lot of confidence.

No Law Could Have Done This....

"Armed guard disarmed teen in Atlanta school shooting, says police chief"

Full story from the Salt Lake Tribune here

Unless the President and the members of Congress agree to forego armed protection in lieu of gun free zones, I suggest they not take the right to protect our children, our homes, and ourselves away from us.

Of course, sometimes the ones we have to protect ourselves from are the authority figures... like back in, say, 1775.  I am sure George III would have loved a weapons ban.  Oh wait, he tried...

Playing Make Believe in Washington DC

via Breitbart

President Barack Obama and, for that matter, most of America seem woefully ignorant about a scandal unfolding at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. As hard as it is to believe, outgoing Administrator Lisa Jackson actually appears to have had agency personnel create a fictitious employee by the name of “Richard Windsor” so that Jackson could appropriate the Windsor’s email address for her own purposes.

We’re not talking about some alias to be used for personal correspondence but a totally false identity in whose name official business was allegedly conducted created specifically to avoid federal record-keeping and disclosure requirements. And none of this would ever have been uncovered were it not for the courage of a still anonymous whistleblower and the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Christopher Horner, an attorney with the legal smarts and experience needed to unravel it all.
Earlier this week, thanks to Horner’s good work, the EPA was supposed to produce the first installment of some 12,000 secret, previously undisclosed emails. Not because it wanted to but because a federal court order required it to.
Under the order, the EPA was to provide the first installment of 3,000 e-mails with three additional installments of 3,000 e-mails to follow. Rather than provide the required emails, however, EPA’s cover letter accompanying its production of emails said it “produced more than 2,100 emails received or sent” by Jackson on an official alias e-mail account.

And now the Hill reports a federal court delivered a serious blow to the Environmental Protection Agency’s renewable fuel agenda, ruling that the agency exceeded its authority by mandating refiners use cellulosic biofuels, which isn’t commercially available.
“We are glad the court has put a stop to EPA’s pattern of setting impossible mandates for a biofuel that does not even exist,” said API Group Downstream Director Bob Greco. “This absurd mandate acts as a stealth tax on gasoline with no environmental benefit that could have ultimately burdened consumers.”

So the head of the EPA, who has a make believe employee so the emails sent from that account were difficult to trace, cannot make refiners purchase make believe fuels, which don't exist except in laboratory beakers. How remarkable!

You know, the only purpose I have seen the EPA to serve is to increase the tax burden, I really haven't noticed any positive results of having that particular agency.  In fact, if I think about it, there are a lot of negative effects: on small businesses, on railroad industry, on mining companies, on cities, on third world nations, dispproportionately on the poor and disadvantaged.  I wonder how many people have needlessly died of diseases we can prevent by killing the carriers?  The EPA outlawed the best of the insecticides decades ago, and now we have resistant strains of disease, resistant mosquitoes, and not significantly better environment.  But we do have more taxes and penalties and less profit and surely in the eyes of Chicago Jesus and his cronies, that must be good.  Feh, I am too disgusted to pursue this line of thought any further.

What Does It Matter?

The cogent statement is at about the 3 minute mark...when Sec Clinton rather acidly asks why it matters what the cause of the attack on the Embassy in Benghazi was, we just need to figure out what happened and prevent its re-occurrence.  Well, since she promised that the maker of the film would be brought to justice (and indeed he is the only person of interest currently in prison) it certainly matters to him.  It matters to the slain heroes' families, to other military and State Department personnel, and to many of us here in America who are simply onlookers as well.  It matters because the statements made by this administration were a clear effort to cover up the real reason it happened, and the people responsible for it happening.  It matters because you can't figure out what happened without looking at that aspect.  It matters because the lie continued for so long, even after the truth was obvious, that there must surely have been something to conceal.  It matters because the truth always matters.

Sec Clinton's weak efforts to then cast the blame onto GOP lawmakers for reducing the budget has been quite adequately refuted by demonstrating the incredibly wasteful  use of appropriated funds for such important things as Kindles (16 million) books (250K) art (4.5million) Pakistani democratic institutions (whatever they are) (2+ billion), climate change (1 billion) and so on.  Apparently each Kindle cost over 6K!  You know, I can buy a top of the line Kindle Fire HD for less than 500$.... I wonder why theirs cost so very much?  But somehow, they didn't have enough money to spend on adequate security.  Hm, who makes the decisions of what the dollars they are given get spent on.... it isn't the GOP legislators, they simply appropriate funds.  The specifics are left to ... the State Department.

The Secretary obviously needs Calgon (or anyone) to take her away.  So does America.

Another Sacrifice

on the altar of Obama.  It appears, as I said in an earlier post, that our President is purging the upper ranks of the military of anyone who disagrees or raises uncomfortable issues or questions.  Sure, some are still around, but either discredited or put where they are not often heard or have little power.  The latest of these is the near legendary Marine General Mattis, USCENTCOM.  Evidently he asked "what if" a few too many times in regard to our buddies over in Iran.  Huh.  I wonder what WonderPres has in mind?  And who is next?

They Knew They Were Wrong

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

NY State Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin made a facebook post I have quoted below (h/t weasel zippers) to demonstrate the deviousness of the NY Democrats in their secret gun control proposals so wide ranging they absolutely could not be allowed to pass.  The effort to keep them hidden failed, thanks to Assemblyman McLaughlin.  It is imperative we protect our Constituionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms.

"This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:
1. Confiscation of “assault weapons”
2. Confiscation of ten round clips
3. Statewide database for ALL Guns
4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder’s information to be replaced to the public
5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as “assault weapons”
6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines
7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines
8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month
9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners
10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years
11. State issued pistol permits
12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State
13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers
14. Mandatory locking of guns at home
15. Fee for licensing, registering weapons"

Remember that laws are not meant to strip you of your rights, nor to place you at the mercy of unlawful men, either in government or out of it.  They are meant to protect you.  Contact your Congressmen to fight to keep it that way.

the Algerian crime.  So why is anyone surprised?  And why isn't anyone issuing a statement challenging the administration on this as well as Benghazi?  Why are the media totally ignoring the devastating consequences of the administration's incompetence, or worse, purposeful set up of the Embassy and our personnel?  Has America forgotten the heroes and victims of Benghazi?  I would like to think not, but I am beginning to think that Americans just don't want to think about unpleasant things.  When they are forced to ( like after Sandy Hook,) they seem to want to do something to make themselves feel better, rather than actually doing something perhaps more difficult that would actually make a difference.  Anything having to do with the problem of Islamic terrorism (a term no longer allowed in the administration documents) is skirted, allowed to die down, denied, explained away, or just ignored until it is cold.
How many of you have read anything in the mainstream media about the trafficking of young (11 and 12 year old) Christian girls to Muslim men?  Not much out there on it, but it is a big deal... hundreds have been sold, as allowed by that oh so culturally advanced authority, the Quran.

How about the honor killings of young women who are determined by their fathers or brothers to have done something unbecoming to Islam?  Or the beatings of very young children in madrassas as normal punishment for minor infractions and particularly failing to progress in their studies of Islam?  Or forced marriages of young girls to older men by their own parents?  Or female circumcision in Islamic enclaves even in non Islamic countries?  Heard anything about the Ft Hood terrorist recently?  Three years since his religiously motivated murder of people there, but no justice yet.  We won't even make him comply with UCMJ regs on facial hair.  We can't even call him a terrorist.

Heard about the MyJihad program?  It is supposed to convince us that the term jihad really doesn't refer to violence against non Muslims, nope.  It is an outreach program.  Outreach.  Uh huh.

No, if it has to do with Islam or terrorism, you aren't likely to read or hear much about it on CNN or the NY Times.  In fact, there is a considerable effort to promote Islam and even to "dialogue" with its most vicious elements, calling them non violent, decapitated, freedom promoting and other such swill.  The result of this has been to convince these elements that we are weak, lack impetus and willpower, and are in fact willing dhimmis to their cause.  All in the name of not appearing to be anti Islam.  Turkish PM Erdogan said it... there is no radical Islam, no moderate Islam, there is only Islam!  We should be listening to him.  He isn't kidding.
