Pride in My Nation

Proof that at one time America was indeed extraordinary, set apart, a spacefaring nation.  Hopefully we will be again, one day, but not as long as our current president is in charge.  He wants us to be poorer, less capable, less educated, and more inclined to dependence on government than ever.  If he is elected for a second term, he will continue to work very hard for just that.  He has no reason to hold back in any way, since it will be his second term.  I think he would be in power for life if he could find a way.  God help us all.

I like it!

Those who know me know I am a Dark Age Celt/Norse in my other life (the one I only get to live once in a while). I love this. I REALLY love this. It is so very apropos. Why can't I think of these and draw them so I can have people snickering all day? Sigh, I will just have to be content with showing them.

On a less happy note, a US Destroyer named after LBJ? Really? The President who gave up in Viet Nam? Who had a brief fling in uniform? The same LBJ who traded influence for a Silver Star? Oh wait, now that sound like a perfect representation of this administration and it's underhanded politics. Course, that describes all politics, doesn't it? Damn them all, let's go back to naming ships after battles and qualities and so forth.... or at least valid Naval heroes, not political trollops. Hmph.
